Turin Ski Resorts

Turin Ski ResortsTurin ski resorts are all about 80-120km west of Turin. You can get to famous ski resorts within an hour of landing at the airport and there are more resorts as you move further away from the airport.

There is the valle di Susa which is just forty five minutes from the airport. You can ski to your heart’s content at this place and also do some sight seeing on the side. There’s plenty to see along the slopes and there’s also a guided tour if you are interested. The nightlife around here is excellent.

Located about an hour’s journey from the airport is the Sauze d’Ouix region. You will be skiing in the famous Vialattea region of Italy. It usually has great snow and is also part of the Milky Way stretch of the Vialattea. There’s over four hundred kilometres of slopes to ski on meaning you will never run out of space. Sauze d’Ouix is a quaint and traditional village that makes for the perfect place to get you started on your ski trip.

There is also San Sicario, which gives you a full reign over the Milky Way stretch. The Milky Way covers one hundred and forty five runs which ensures that you have great variety to choose from. The resort offers great deals to snowboarders and skiers.

Many people who travel looking for Turin ski resorts take up the option of an airport transfer. Bringing a lot of ski gear with you is not a problem and there is no extra charge. Just let us know on our form how many of you are coming and any special needs or requirements you may have.

Sestriere is another place where you can get in some great skiing action. It sits in between a high up purpose-built Alpine village. This has over four hundred kilometres of pistes for snowboarding and skiing and is a great place for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There are also areas where advanced skiers can go to for more challenging slopes. This resort is situated about one hundred kilometers from Turin International airport. It was the place where the 2006 winter Olympics were held.

Another great resort is Claviere, which has over three hundred and seventy pistes. It is located near the French border and has a peaceful traditional Alpine village setting. It is connected to the neighboring Montgenèvre in France and has beautiful slopes to ski on. It offers easy access to both Turin International Airport and the Geneva Airport. It is chosen by most for its easy to reach location and the fantastic skiing experience it provides.

The easiest way to get to the Turin ski resorts mentioned above is by a minibus transfer from The Alpine Transfer Company.

AJ, no, I didn't mention my chin when you saw my pictures because I was still in my embarassment stage, I'm past that now. :)

Laurie, yes we saw the real Green Gables! It was so neat to see the real thing. We saw other houses that related to L. M. Montgomery books too. We did a good bit of sight-seeing actually. Sometimes I felt bad because no one else I know ever talked about sight-seeing, but we had fun, so I guess that's what matters!

Great article, well written with good points. Completely agree that there is far too much homophobia in football. For men the easiest way to attack them is there sexuality, I'll probably get called a poof just for writing this, but I totally agree with your blog, if we can attempt to kick racism out of the game then we should kick this out as well.

My personal favorite is Marshall's. As a yoga teacher I go through a lot of yoga clothes and can't afford to spend a ton of money on them. Marshall's has a great variety and I can just go to my size section and find 50 different styles (instead of 10 of the same style in different sizes). I pay between $12 and $20 for a pair of brand name yoga pants there, so I am getting a good deal.References :

Portland is growing. As an arts community it is growing. More and more films are being made here. How do you prepare as an actor? I'm an actor and I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep growing. You are never done learning. It is so important to keep your acting muscles warm, continue to work on audition pieces and study, study, study. I think The Limelab is a great place to learn and keep your acting muscles warm. Its a great place for the beginner to the pro. Workshops are incredibly reasonable and run for eight-weeks. Classes are small, so you receive individual attention.

Nice Find.

Q70 38mm will only set you back a hundred bucks and it is well worth it… slightly more than 2 degrees of sky

You can view all of Pleiades, It's like looking through an awesome binoculars (as a monocular). It woulds have been a terrific choice for this conjunction, as well any for that matter. Regulus and Mars was particularly beautiful.

Scanning through the Milky way with is a favorite pastime of myself and kids with it… the 6″ skyview we have and that eyepiece yields a 3.5 deg view of sky.

Someday I'll get both of those scopes out to some dark sky and check out Andromeda and the Milky Way. I imagine that would be something, I might have my expectations a little high though.

We became addicted to this particular item over the holidays two years ago when we were on a family ski trip. There were 10+ family members all in one house with most of us sharing one bathroom. It was a true lifesaver! Brought new meaning to 'Smells like Christmas'! I truly believe and agree that it has been solely responsible for salvaging my hiney (pun intended) when it comes to cohabiting with (now 3!) stinker pot boys!

As a follow-up to this, Dave and Matt Show listener Megafan Brandon mentioned that he really wished he could get Hulu back on his AppleTV (via Boxee). In February, Hulu told Boxee that they have to disable the link to Hulu, thus disabling easy access to Hulu via the AppleTV and any Mac or Linux machines on which Boxee was installed. This upset many AppleTV and Boxee users, Megafan Brandon included.

I just wanted to point out that there is a hack for this problem, too, which is available here on Lifehacker.

Hi,

We just bought 4.5 acres at Seven Springs ski resort in PA and are planning on building the maple forest house. We are trying to decide whether or not to go with geothermal. Looks like electrical costs are higher but fuel/gas costs are lower. Can I ask why you decided to go with geothermal?

Thank you for sharing your blog and wonderful pics!! so helpful for us….Lisa and Dave

We have beutiful sunrises and sets as we are tucked in the foot hills of the cascade mountain range.

As a longtime reader of both the zine and the website, I've always enjoyed the great variety of articles from reviews to personal testimonials to interviews. I would love to see whole operas, highlights, and themed programs. Also I would love to hear you and others discuss operas and singers you love and hate. I have very few people with whom I can discuss opera, so while I've never listened to a podcast, I sure as hell would download and enjoy each one you did.
