Turin Airport

Turin airport, managed by SAGAT, is an up-to-date structure that is able to provide users with a continuously improving range of services.
It is well-connected to all major European hubs, and can be easily reached from any part of the world via an intermediate connection.
Easily accessible and congestion-free, the airport can handle an annual traffic of more than five million passengers, guaranteeing the highest standards of comfort and safety.
In 2008 and in 2007 SAGAT won the ACI Europe Awards for the best European airport in the 1-5 million passenger category, due to the high quality of the services provided.
Torino Caselle airport therefore aspires to a prominent role in the European airport sector, and is ready to meet future challenges and grasp the opportunities created by the Torino 2006 Olympics.

I appreciate learning from your experience.

Your story points to the paucity of affordable software that generates high-quality academic graphs. I have heard of high-end packages; reviews don't sound promising – and very small teaching colleges such as the one where I work are unlikely to purchase it anyway.

Good graphing software would have a much smaller audience than word processing — but I wish someone in the OpenSource world would develop a passion for high quality graphics software.

I dont get it. Should we all move to egalitarian utopia where no physical labor services should exist?. Will everyone having 'high quality education' -whatever that means (personally it is a meaningless concept at an aggregate level) find that their high quality education provides them opportunities to become brown sahibs themselves?

What is wrong with coolie labour?Should they give it all up and starve to death in proud desperation?.
Why should everyone have HIGH QUALITY education?Should everyone also have HIGH QUALITY homes? Why not HIGH QUALITY cars?.whats the logic?. why is education such a holy cow that the word profit coming close to it makes the marxist sadagoplan shudder.
State sponsorship of english is one point. But to belittle the work of millions of Indians by calling it undignified is just elitist.

It's tough, yes, but you mind will give out before your body does. If you have the mental dedication, you'll pull through(unless you get? injured of course)

I love the NIMBY concept, David. You can see it working in Barcelona's airport. The closest neighbours, those in Gava Mar, bought expensive houses close to the airport and close to the sea, but now they oppose further enlargements. People want to be able to travel easily, but they don't want to hear the noises while they don't travel. And almost half of the inhabitants started living there after the enlargement was approved. Many of them are pilots or air controllers, so they live from the airline/airport sector, but they don't want the noise, just the money.

Best regards

Good comment. I fear I was imprecise. I am not in favor of any humanism that rejects divine guidance, for the reason you cite (that it rests on nothing) and for the reason that a lack of belief is no defense against a wrong belief, and one of our future challenges will be massive calls to convert to Jihadist Islam. If people don't believe in anything they will be easy marks for the call, and so we need to start preparing for that phase of the counterjihad now and strengthen the faith of westerners and especially Christians.

Juan Williams was fired because he violated his contract with NPR. If he was told to stop and didn't, NPR had no choice.

I am a long-time NPR member and plan to continue as such.

I can see NPR not wanting to associate with Fox News. NPR has the highest standards in journalism. Fox has news + opinion shows like the O'Reilly Factor, which are not journalism. Fox opinion shows are anything but fair and balanced.

in an economic crisis McCain from 2000 (fiscal conservative, against tax cuts for the rich) is a winner.

in a country sick of evangelical politics playing a prominent role McCain from 2000 (moderate on “gonadal politics” -thanks Nader) is a winner.

in a country torn by an unpopular war McCain from 2000 (critic of Bush's handling of the war) is a push.

what other areas do we think sunk McCain?

More on the Cash for Clunkers scam…

Think of it this way:

A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 mpg uses 800 gallons of gas a year.

A vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year at 25 mpg uses 480 gallons a year.

So, the average Cash for Clunkers transaction will reduce U.S. gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.

They claim 700,000 vehicles were sold so that's 224 million gallons saved per year.

That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.

5 million barrels is about 5 hours worth of U.S. consumption.

More importantly, 5 million barrels of oil at $70 per barrel costs about $350 million dollars.

So, the government paid $3 billion of our tax dollars to save $350 million. In other words, we spent $8.57 for every dollar we saved.

Actors with smaller catalogs that are show less often beat actors with huge catalogs who will star in anything (like Nicolas Cage); however, a huge catalog actor can beat someone rarer if they have 5 or 6 films on at once vs almost anyone else’s 3 count.
