Airport Transfers from Turin Airport, to Ski Resorts near Turin, including Private and Shared Transfers are usually by  luxury mini bus, ski bus or coach. Typically most Turin Airport Transfers are done by minibus.

The Alpine Transfer Company also service all airports at Milan, Lyon, Grenoble as well as Turin Ski transfers. Ski resorts near to Turin that prove to be the most popular are: Serre Chevalier, Montgenevre, Sauze d’Oulx, Sestriere, and San Sicario.

Airport transfers at Turin are normally provided by 8 seater minibus. We will work out the cheapest way for you to do this if you require a shared transfer, alternatively you can just have the minibus to your family or friends.

Grenoble Airport transfers traditionally used to serve the ski resorts in the ’38′ department in France such as Alpe d’Huez and Les 2 Alpes. However this trend is now changing as there are many budget airlines such as RyanAir and EasyJet flying into Grenoble Airport. Fot this reason Grenoble transfers are nearly as popular as Turin Airport transfers.

Hi Darcy!

If you stay in Europe some week I suggest you to go in Liguria. Finale Ligure is the best spot in nord Italy for freeride and downlhill: rich of trails, olives hills, and beatiful landscapes… All seasons!
This month are opened also some bike park in the Alps: Bardonecchia, Sauze d'Oulx, Mongénève and Portés du Soleil in France. You can't miss them!

Have a nice trip in Europe!

Bye

Is the JB track you shared a transfer from vinyl? It sounds like it is. What percentage of songs in your first seven podcasts would you guess are vinyl transfers, and are there some songs that would cause you to choose the transfer over the digitally remastered version?

Daniel,
I agree entirely with you about using modern technology as part of the process of working out, considering, debating and concluding ways to govern ourselves.
That said, I would not exclude any type of forum, as one never knows how people like and/or have the facility to participate in any forum eg. traditional meeting with people presenting option if only for information initially, smaller groups for considered debate/working out words, larger assemblies for that and expanding those in the know.

re. Departments a la France.
Below the level of Department, France has over 30,000 communes some of which are very small but most of which have a directly elected Maire. Sometimes you have “communes des communes” providing services. Above the Department, there are Regions.
With a little imagination, it would be possible to keep Clare and Tipperary (North and South) :-) .
What I would like to know is
1) what the Danes did during the 1970s;
2) how do the Danes now see it;
3) what changes, if any, they have made since the 1970s;
4) What can we learn from this?

There are a lot of Victorian buildings in most downtowns in Arizona; the railroads came in, and the railroad execs brought the materials to build what they were used to from the East Coast.

And Arizona is packed with all sorts of terrain; much of it is high country, pine forests, ski resorts. In fact, we can drive just up the Catalina Mountains at the edge of Tucson and play in the snow in the Christmas tree forest. And there are canyons with running water, sandy beaches. It's really a state with vast variety.

Had an awsome time at the Mega Avalanche 2010. The chalet was lovely, the food was excellent and Helens knowledge of the Alpe D'Huez area was extremely helpful.

Met some really cool people, did some amazing riding down some of the best trails in the world and all in all had a top class holiday.

Planning on comming back in 2012 and hopefully staying with Helen and Phil again.

Cheers guys.

I have communicated with citizens of Sri Lanka, and have tried to inform me about the country, its history, its customs, its nature. I am delighted with what I've seen, but still needs a lot of information. I would love to know this country, though very far and expensive for a Brazilian. Please give me tips on where to host me or what the cheapest way to travel there. Hugs and thanks.

Spooky

I did not see the whole extract on TV but I got the impression that the 9 British police were high level cops, brought in to deal with among other things corruption.

I have also heard the opinion stated that many of the tourists in St. Lucia are from the UK and some of the crime in St. Lucia has its origins in Britain.

In Guadeloupe and Martinique which are still Departments of France, Gendarmes from France regularly exchange with local Gendarmes and one of the reasons I am told is to prevent the small island family relationships from clouding the crime issue.

Guess this doesn't have much of an impact on corruption as Barbados is supposed to be least corrupt country in the Caribbean.

The presence of foreign police in Barbados has real potential benefits in the reduction in crime in the island and is not necessarily neocolonialism.

There are about 1 million tourists who pass through this island during the course of a year.

Perhaps a few well chosen exchanges might reduce crime in Barbados and with it the demand for more police officers recruited at the lower level.

One of the results if the demand for recruits dropped because of the reduction in crime might very well be higher salaries for those charged with policing this island.

Money and man/woman power alone will not solve the crime situation in Barbados.

I hope that Canada does provide Medivac services to this ski resort soon. As I have said in another post about Natasha's needless death, most ski resorts in the western US have these services near by or medivac services. If you ski in the Colorado mountains, most resorts have state of the art medical services right in the towns in the ski areas like Aspen and Vail. All slopes in the Rockies can access these services quickly.

I am not sure about the medivac services in New Mexico or even in my home state of Arizona. The ski resorts here are on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation and I have not skiied there.

I am less familiar with the ski resorts in the east. I do not know how other Canadian ski area compare with the situation in Mont Tremblant either.

But the important thing we can gain from this is to check ahead of time what medical or medivac services are available before we chose a place to ski.

“What is in the “whole of Europe” that’s not in the EU?”

Most of Europe, for a start! Apart from countries like Switzerland and Norway, there’s a huge area of Central and Eastern Europe outside the EU. And some of the EU (such as overseas departments of France, or Cyprus) isn’t in Europe at all! Though the way we often talk about “Europe”, it is probable that the area they had in mind was actually more like “Western Europe”, which would exclude EU countries like Poland.

“Most of Europe” is not in the EU? Hardly. Here's a map:

Looks to me like everything's in the EU but Norway, Switzerland, and the old Yugoslavia.

I have a suggestion.
Forget fines for these guys (ZR and Mini bus). Impound the bus for 30 days for the first offence, 60 days for the second offence and revoke the license and auction off the bus for the third offence.
I bet if they did that they would straighten up and fly right in a hurry.
Also I figure that we would get about 40% of the vehicles off the road the first month they try it.

Re: the mini bus.

Bearing in mind the circumstances we are working under at school at the present moment we would merely appreciate a bit of leeway in sorting the mini bus out. Whatever discussions were had between Randall and Dave M need to be had again with Steve and Dave M. I know Steve is trying to follow up what had been done and move forward. However, we are unable even to talk to Randall to verify any information, discuss what his views were about usage or indeed find out how far negotiations had got to. There is no suggestion that discussions had up till now will be discarded.
At the moment there are many other issues that need sorting out and no doubt the mini bus will be prioritised when appropriate. There is still 6 months to go until this proposed trip.
Perhaps a way forward would be to have a best case scenario option with alternative plans put forward in the meantime.

Please bear with us on this one. Spinning plates and juggling balls is, as you all know, difficult!

It's funny, most English people that I know seem to like going to hot places for their holidays :D Les Deux Alpes sounds wonderful…thanks for letting me visit vicariously through your blog. I don't ski but my son (age 16) snowboards with his dad.

I don't really understand what's up with women who like body hair but it's a pretty common complaint from wives of TG partners that they don't want them to shave. I think it must be the symbolism of it that they dislike….perhaps it brings up subconscious fears of further feminisation and transitioning. That and the fear that people will somehow “know” (although I am sure they wouldn't think anything of it, really).

Have a good week Tina!

The problem with things like sidestep (and cheapflights, and expedia, and all of that) are that they don't seem to include the seriously cheap cheap budget airlines. I just searched for a fare from Mumbai to Khartoum on there to see if it'd come up with Air Arabia, but the best it could offer was a £385 fare with Qatar Air.

I didn't know that Sabena had rebranded! Not that I have ever flown with them, of course…

Yeah, the compulsory tour guide thing is a hassle (and of course I may well not even be able to get a visa as a woman travelling alone) but it's the sort of thing I'm prepared to suck up if it's the only way to visit the country.

“We have no evidence that is what they meant. You have not been able to jimmy the figures to get to five. Their meaning is still unknown. ”

I repeat, you made the clearly false claim (that they were referring to the raw rainfall rates). It is plain to anyone with common sense that that is not what they meant. Precisely how they got the figure five is not clear, and I never claimed it was. It is, however, obvious that some notion like rainfall or river flow per capita is implied. It is also obvious that this was never intended as a hard scientific statement or accurate statistic, but as an order of magnitude figure, a general indication of how comparatively water-rich the Irish people are. For that purpose the figure five is reasonable. By careful choice of comparison figures I could probably get it above ten, if I thought it worth the effort, which I don't. You seem so determined to attack these people that you insist upon reading far too much into general remarks. This detracts from what might otherwise have been a valid critique.
